Job Description Job Description Summary Available on an
as-needed basis, childcare substitutes are responsible for the
daily classroom or afterschool operations of the Infant or Toddler
Classroom or afterschool program group as assigned, including
providing high quality care and education for enrolled children
daily in alignment with licensing ratio requirements and
maintaining positive collaborations with families, coworkers,
service providers, and community partners. Duties Position Duties,

Must be at least 18 years of age and meet minimum qualifications
for an early childhood teacher or afterschool program staff
substitute as described by the Vermont Child Development Division
for Licensed Child Care Center Programs and NAEYC to include or
exceed a high school diploma or GED. Physical/environmental
Requirements There are several physical demands in this
youth-facing role. Which include but may not be limited to: Sit,
stand and/or move about for extended periods. Actively engage in
play activities with students. Visual acuity to read and write
printed materials, computer screens and observe students’ movement.
Hearing and speech abilities for ordinary and telephonic
conversations and to speak to small groups of children. Ambulatory
ability to move around the classroom, playgrounds and assist with
play-oriented learning activities. Ability to lift children, carry,
push and move supplies/furniture/etc. of light-to-medium weight
(under 40 lbs.) on an intermittent basis. Benefits Opportunity to

between $18-$24/hr Childcare discount of 50% for employees, pending
