Manager September 2025 For more than 50 years, Washington County
Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has served the Washington County
community and the Orange County towns of Orange, Washington and
Williamstown. WCMHS provides education, support, and treatment of
individuals and families living with mental health challenges,
substance use issues, and developmental and intellectual
disabilities. Providing accessible, high-quality services in the
community, schools, and health care settings, we work toward

in supporting children, youth, and families in your community. This
position provides community-based assessment, treatment, and
support for children and youth with severe emotional disturbances
or developmental disabilities, along with their families. You'll
help connect individuals to essential resources and care, making a
meaningful impact every day. Qualifications Education and
experience requirements for this position include: Bachelor’s
degree in human service or related field preferred. Two years of
human service delivery with children and families preferred.
Experience providing direct instruction and therapeutic services to
children with challenging behaviors preferred. You must have a
valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and access to a
safe, dependable, and insured vehicle. The ability to lift and
carry 50 pounds and execute physical restraints. Knowledge, skills,
and competencies required for the position include: Provide
clinical and administrative oversight for up to 10 School-Based
Interventionists, including weekly supervision, job and paperwork
training, regular monitoring of documentation, and approval of
timesheets and mileage/expenses. Supervise and support staff
development within their school teams and broader school
communities. Offer supervision and crisis response support to staff
and families outside of regular business hours. Establish and
maintain service contracts with local educational partners,
including school and district administrators. Develop and/or
deliver services to help clients access medical, social,
educational, vocational, housing, financial, and other resources.
Collaborate with other professional service providers for case
review and consultation. Create treatment plans tailored to each
individual’s complex needs, as identified by the treatment team.
Support the development of natural support networks for children
and youth with severe emotional disturbances and/or developmental
disabilities, and their families. Assist clients and families in
accessing community resources. Facilitate regular treatment and
educational team meetings. Collaborate with schools, social
rehabilitative services, and other agencies serving children and
youth with emotional disturbances and/or developmental
disabilities. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical
records, including contact notes, treatment plans, team summaries,
and other required documentation. Attend and conduct staff meetings
at WCMHS as required. Compensation and Benefits: This full-time
position offers an hourly rate of $24.62/hr - $25.62/hr and
excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement/student loan
