Job Description:
Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager, Network
Management and Operations, the Business Analyst II will support
Departmental and Corporate-wide data analysis and reporting
initiatives using Tableau, Cognos, SAS and other SQL database
tools. Customers will include multiple departments: Payment
Integrity & Reimbursement, Provider Relations & Communications,
Network Management, and Credentialing & Provider Data Management.
The Business Analyst II will perform effective planning, analysis,
and project support to meet ad-hoc, standard and project-based
reporting needs. The Business Analyst II will act as a liaison
between Corporate Data and Analytics and Network Management and
Operations. Essential functions occur simultaneously, therefore,
the Business Analyst II must be able to appropriately handle each
essential function, prioritize them and seek assistance when
necessary.Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be
doingFulfill ad-hoc reporting requests from multiple departments
including Payment Integrity & Reimbursement, Provider Relations &
Communications, Network Management, and Credentialing & Provider
Data Management.Assist in the development and reporting of
performance KPI metrics for the departments.Develop standard
scheduled reports such as weekly dashboards and management
reports.Develop data and reporting solutions using an understanding
of business operations and a consultative approach with
stakeholders.Automate and simplify reporting wherever possible by
eliminating duplication and manual efforts.Build and support
databases for end users such as self-service access databases and
prompt fed Cognos reports. All categories of analysis and reporting
include the following key elements:Collecting business reporting
needs and interpreting for query development.Developing the query
language necessary.Testing and quality checking the methodology for
validity, accuracy, and comprehension.Creating any necessary
documentation and providing warm handoffs where
appropriate.Performing maintenance and enhancements if
necessaryParticipate in Operations and Corporate level projects
across all lines of business to identify needs, design and
implement reporting solutions. Participate in data ownership by
attending committee meetings (i.e. Cognos Users Group, Tableau User
Group, SAS User Group).Perform other duties as neededQualifications

certifications required)Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work
experience is required. EXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)2-4 years'
experience in a functional business area, preferably in a
healthcare insurance environmentRequired: Knowledge and use of
reporting tools including Tableau, Excel, Relational Databases, MS
Access, etc.Required: Skilled in maintaining databasesPreferred:
Basic knowledge and use of other reporting tools: Cognos/other BI
applications, SASPreferred: Basic understanding of health
insurance/managed care and related technology market and
productsSKILL REQUIREMENTS: (Include interpersonal

collection methodologies for developing reports. This may include
logic/data flows, narratives, data structures, screen layouts, data
dictionaries and formsProficiency with MS Office applications
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and
CognosAbility to utilize multiple applications simultaneously and
be able to grasp new software programs easilyRequires the ability
to work cooperatively as part of a team Must have the ability to
work directly with key internal clients to ensure reports and
analytics are managed accurately and timelyMust be willing to be
flexible when reporting requirements change based on business
