Now hiring an Advance Epidemiologist Data Analyst in Cranston!Trillium Technical is now seeking an Advance Epidemiologist Data Analyst for work in Cranston, RI! This position is part of a team that works on all areas of the surveillance, prevention, and policy development for COVID-19. The primary role of this team is to help support the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of COVID-19 surveillance and prevention efforts. This position may be asked to support other programs, as needed. Responsibilities --- Conduct and support routine surveillance activities --- Assure data quality and perform epidemiological analyses --- Prepare and present summary reports --- Assist with outbreak investigations --- Plan, supervise, and review the work of a given team within the COVID-19 Response Unit. --- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements. --- Direct assistance to community agencies, professional and consumer groups, and the public in understanding the policies and procedures of the COVID-19 unit including its successes. --- Assist in developing and improving public health policies related to COVID-19. --- Assist with logistics and scheduling of both personnel and resources. --- Coordinate with other Program Managers to ensure the goals of the COVID-19 Response Unit are met. --- Prepare and review reports relative to program functions and objectives. --- Take part in leadership meetings to provide input on overall planning for the COVID-19 Response Unit --- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor If interested, please apply today!--- A Bachelor's degree in a health-care related field with coursework in statistics; and 2 years of experience performing statistical work in a Public Health and/or community-based health environment or the equivalent education, training and experience. --- Two years of advanced level experience in data collection and analysis (not including coursework) --- One year of SAS programming experience (not including coursework) including ability to: --- Merge and subset data --- Synthesize repeated measure data --- Manage duplicate records and strategies to de-dup --- Work with both character and numeric data and be able to convert between the two when appropriate, especially with dates --- Import and export data to/from excel --- Create tabular reports using proc freq, proc tabulate --- Use macro variables and to write macro programs --- Experience in applied infectious disease epidemiology --- Experience interpreting clinical laboratory results --- Working understanding of basic microbiology and/or immunology --- Familiarity with reportable infectious diseases, including CSTE case definitions --- Experience developing analytic plans --- Experience managing team priorities --- Experience with implementation of data systems, data margining, and manipulation within SAS #CBT
