This position will integrate with multiple departments within the Thielsch network such as Creative Environment Corp (CEC) and RISE Engineering. This position is a full-time, M- F, and will report to our Cranston, RI office.Essential Duties andResponsibilitiesInstall and repair all manner of mechanical piping: hot water, chilled water, steam, and gas.Expertise in soldering, brazing, threading, grooved connections.Ability to read blue printsExcellent communication skills & customer relations, A motivated self-starterPunctual and the ability to work well with othersAbility to coordinate pipefitter installation projects from start to finish including, but not limited to, gathering necessary materialAct as "lead pipefitter" on small jobs and supervise helpersRefrigeration piping and VRF system experience is a plusPipe welding experience is beneficialStarting, testing and troubleshooting pipefitter controls is a plusOther duties as assignedSupervisorResponsibilities:This position requires some supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The pipefitter employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. Will climb ladders and stairs every day. Positions Type and Expected hours of Work:Work day is based on 8-hour day between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Overtime will be available and work during nights and weekends will be required. Days and hours of work are Monday.
