Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW: To perform upkeep of plant equipment. Reports to the Allied BD Press Supervisor JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work onsite 7:00 am- 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday, hours may vary with schedule
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
• Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician - Repair drywall, Paint, repair doors and other building fixtures
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems
• Assist with upkeep of the facilities
• Order supplies and materials as needed for repairs and maintenance
• Other duties as assignedABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Strong Communication Skills and work well with others
  • Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge or plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC and/or other building systems required
  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
  • Willingness to learn how to replace parts and machine/equipment repairs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem solving skills
  • Ability to lift equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of timeQUALIFICATIONS:
    • 2 + years' working with production machinery or equivalent.
    • Experience in diagnostic skills to solve problems
    • Read/write English, basic math skills
