Team lead needed for substitute team supporting K-12 operations in Cranston!The successful candidate will coordinate with schools across the state to determine the prevention strategies needed in their area by monitoring levels of community transmission (i.e., low, moderate, substantial, or high) and local vaccine coverage, and use of screening testing to detect cases in K-12 schools. Essential job functions include: Plan, supervise, and review the work of CI/CT/Monitoring Metrics Team within the COVID-19 Response Unit. Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of team members. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements. Assist in developing and improving public health policies related to COVID-19. Coordinate with other Program Managers to ensure the goals of the COVID-19 Response Unit are met. Supports routine surveillance activities, data quality reviews and improvements, data collection/analysis activities and preparation of summary reports. Assists with outbreak investigations, collaborating with community partners and clinicians Prepares and review reports relative to program functions and objectives. Approach work from a health equity lens and uses data science to eliminate health disparities. Review and compile data reports to fulfill inquiries from the government, public, and media requests. Takes part in leadership meetings to provide input on overall planning for the COVID-19 Unit Assists with logistics and scheduling of both personnel and resources. Performs additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.Due to the nature of this work, the selected candidate must be a United States citizen or permanent resident. Candidate must have sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the possession and direct application of the following knowledge and abilities: Skills, Knowledge And Abilities: Strong ability to proficiently use software programs (Microsoft Office Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook) and statistical analysis software and programming languages. Knowledge of health equity considerations related to the K-12 setting which are critical for decision-making Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to develop analytic plans and public-facing reports Ability to translate and operationalize data requests into actionable/programmable tasks Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in completing assigned duties and responsibilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare clear, concise and timely reports. Ability to effectively communicate with staff, community partners, and the general public in a manner that is courteous, professional and supports public health objectives. Ability to utilize appropriate communication methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial and ethnic, sexual orientations, lifestyles and physical abilities. 1-2 years of project/team management experience Must be available to work flexible hours especially some weekends and evenings. Education and Experience: The required knowledge and abilities are attained through possession of a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. Masters Degree (MSN) in Nursing, Public Health (MPH), or related field preferred #CBT
