Job Title: Mortgage Processor-Retail Department: Processing Location: Newport, RITMS Core Values:* Do the Right Thing, Embrace and Drive Change* Create and Maintain High Morale, Job Fulfillment and Enjoyment* Be Creative and Open-Minded* Pursue Growth and Learning in Self and Team* Build Open and Honest Relationships with CommunicationGeneral Purpose and Scope (Summary):This position is responsible for processing first mortgages within the required timeframe.Responsibilities / Functions:* Review the borrower's loan application and update as needed based on the credit documentation provided.* Make welcome/introduction call to borrower to discuss the upcoming process and request any items that are needed to submit the file to underwriting for initial credit approval* Deliver the underwriter's commitment letter to the borrower(s) and request any conditions from underwriting from borrowers. Must be able to provide detailed explanation of what documentation is needed to satisfy the underwriter's condition.* Order all required verifications including but not limited to the title report, flood certification, fraud, written verification of employment, verification of employment* Work with the borrower, loan officer and closing agent to resolve questions and/or problems immediately upon inquiry or receipt of documentation from the borrower/loan officer.* Manage pipeline to ensure loans are processed, submitted to underwriting and closed to meet contract closing date and/or rate lock expiration dates.* Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients.Personal Traits / Competencies:* Strong customer service, communication, organization and problem resolution skills* Detail oriented* Must be able to meet established minimum daily expectations* Must be comfortable talking on the phone with customers* Must be able to multi-taskTechnical / Computer Skills:Experience With Encompass LOS Is PreferredEducation and Experience:* High school diploma or equivalent* A minimum of 2 year processing experience* Knowledge of first mortgage processing* Familiarity with all types of mortgage products and State and Federal regulatory guidelines.Certifications, Licenses, etc.N/AHours for position:M-F 9am-5pmThis position may require frequent additional hours, at times on a daily basis; must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by management to meet borrower service level agreements.Conclusion This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
