Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver expert nursing care in the Operating Room setting within a dynamic healthcare environment located in Leominster, MA. This contract opportunity requires a committed Registered Nurse to support surgical teams and ensure exceptional patient outcomes through skilled perioperative nursing practices. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to support patient wellbeing throughout surgical interventions. Maintain sterile fields and uphold aseptic techniques to guarantee a safe operative environment. Conduct patient identification verifications, operative site confirmations, and manage specimen handling following established protocols. Assess and reassess patient status including pain management, administering medications, and responding to emergencies effectively. Provide respectful, individualized patient care that promotes dignity and positive self-regard. Document all nursing interventions and patient responses thoroughly and accurately. Support interdisciplinary communication through timely reporting and patient handoffs. Engage proactively in patient safety initiatives by identifying and mitigating risks to reduce healthcare errors. Assume responsibility for delegating and supervising nursing tasks and functioning as a resource for colleagues. Comply with hospital policies including attendance, hand hygiene, and incident reporting. Qualifications: Current MA RN license required. Recent Operating Room experience is mandatory. ACLS certification required upon hire or an active BLS card with completion of ACLS within 60 days. CNOR certification preferred. Strong communication and critical thinking skills essential. Ability to take call on a rotational basis.
