Roles & Responsibilities Provide rapid assessment and triage for emergency presentations, prioritizing patients in critical condition Stabilize and treat trauma and acute medical emergencies, coordinating transfers for specialty care when needed Perform life-saving interventions and use ACLS/PALS protocols during cardiac and pediatric emergencies Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe inpatient admission or timely transfer Operate within decontamination and hazardous response procedures to support community emergency preparedness Document patient care clearly and promptly, ensuring continuity and quality of care in a busy ED setting Support a respectful, patient-centered environment that includes family communication and privacy considerations Qualifications Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license in-hand at upload (facility will not pend license) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months (required) Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be uploaded with profile) TNCC highly preferred Own reliable vehicle and provide permanent address at profile upload (facility will not consider travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility) Able to commit to facility scheduling rules — all RTO and scheduling requests must be included at submission Knowledge & Skills Expertise in trauma care, triage, and patient stabilization Comfort working in a rural/small facility environment with broad-scope responsibilities Skilled at rapid assessment, emergency interventions, and coordinating transfers Familiarity with decontamination procedures and handling hazardous contamination responses Strong communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary emergency teams Adaptability to a fast-paced ED with priority-based care delivery Benefits A supportive team that values YOU — join a close-knit ED staff at a community hospital Licensure assistance & reimbursement guidance to help you get working quickly Comprehensive onboarding and clinical support — no unpaid orientation Opportunities to sharpen trauma, triage, and emergency stabilization skills in a high-impact role Flexible travel assignment perks to help you explore New England between shifts Work-life clarity with clear rules for requested time off (submit at time of application) Professional growth through exposure to decontamination and emergency response protocols A collaborative environment with experienced physicians, paramedics, and nurses Travel Perks: Explore Claremont, New Hampshire Explore the Upper Valley and Western New Hampshire while on assignment: hike nearby Mount Monadnock for iconic summit views, paddle or fish on Lake Sunapee, and enjoy scenic drives and leaf-peeping in fall.
