Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Manchester, NH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,004 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Med/Surg Telemetry skillset Head-to-head assessment Orthopedic care knowledge IV medication administration including management of Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin IV or subQ Wound care including drain management and vacs NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition Central line management - PICC/HD catheter/midlines Foley/nephrostomy/suprapubic catheter care Ostomy care Postoperative patient care Description: This unit has 48 beds with an average census of 27. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. There is 1 unit secretary available from 07:00-23:00. Patient Care Technicians work with a ratio of 1:10-15, with three typically on shift. Occasional 1:1 coverage is provided with a PCT or patient safety technician. Equipment includes Hoyer lifts, automated blood pressure machines, bladder scanners, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finders. Documentation system is Altera/Allscripts Sunrise. The unit requires participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds during day shifts from Monday to Friday at 10:30-11:15. Staff work together to promote patient care excellence. New equipment includes blood pressure machines. The unit has a fantastic team atmosphere with established monthly UPC meetings and great employee retention rates.
