Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Senior Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a leader in
facility-based and home-based patient care, we provide
sophisticated therapy and rehabilitation services to a diverse
patient population. In this role, you will plan and administer
prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for our patients,
helping them reach their maximum performance while learning skills
essential for their recovery. This position requires a deep
knowledge of physical therapy modalities, excellent patient care,
and the ability to lead a team of therapists in a fast-paced
environment. Assess patient condition by reviewing medical history
and performing physical examinations. Develop and implement
specialized rehabilitation programs by prescribing appropriate
physical therapy techniques. Guide and mentor junior therapists,
providing clinical education and fostering a collaborative
atmosphere. Maintain patient records by documenting patient care
services and outcomes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with healthcare providers
to ensure comprehensive care. Stay current with advancements in
physical therapy by attending educational workshops, reviewing
professional publications, and participating in professional
societies. Expert knowledge of physical therapy practices and
methodologies. Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High proficiency
in patient assessment and treatment plan development. Ability to
handle a significant patient load and prioritize tasks effectively.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current
state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Certified Clinical
Instructor (American Physical Therapy Association, APTA) is
preferred.
