Job Description:

We are actively seeking either apart time or full time Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist will provideclinical leadership and consultation to staff, as well as direct care servicesto clients within the Substance Abuse Expansion Project, consistent with theclinical responsibilities approved by the Board of Directors and assigned percompletion of the organization's Privileging/Re-Privileging Process. Inaddition, the Psychiatrist will provide clinical consultation to staff,colleagues, hospital liaisons, primary care physicians, and other mental healthproviders to facilitate appropriate treatment and timely discharge of clientsfrom psychiatric/substance abuse inpatient treatment programs, and/or otherfacilities into Center services, or to facilitate timely transition of clientsback to their community providers.

JobResponsibilities:

Provide a wide variety of clinical services to assigned clients,including, but not limited to, psychiatric assessment, medication evaluationsand monitoring, psycho-education, and assistance in clinical dispositions incompliance with organizational best practices, and the organization's licensingand accreditation bodies.

Participate in regular case reviews and case conferences asscheduled and provide clinical consultation and oversight to program staffmembers. Be available to Emergency/Crisis Intervention Services Program, ifnecessary.

Integrate mental health and addiction services for assignedcaseload by participation in program service development, staff education,training, etc.

Complete all appropriate clinical documentation concurrently witheach face-to-face visit.

Act as liaison with other agencies, and coordinate care with otherhealth care practitioners, particularly primary care physicians, to ensure thehighest quality of care for clients in accordance with our expectations andprofessional standards.

Meet annual target hours for clinical services. Annual targethours are to be determined as a percentage of standard hours, requiredface-to-face contacts, and program need, and may differ by individualpsychiatrist.

Education:

RI MD/DO required. Additional licensing to prescribeBuprenorphine/Suboxone required.

Several years working with dually diagnosed clients preferred.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

$225000= per year
