Cambridge, MAAbout the JobThe Rare Disease V&A Director is
responsible for working within the Sanofi business unit to help
develop and execute the market access strategy for the Rare Disease
for both in-line and Launch products. This individual will help
develop the value story across market access channels and regional
payers, working in partnership with the market access, medical,
marketing functions, sales and PRB team members to support access
initiatives and gain optimal product reimbursement and coverage.
The Director should have experience in specialty pharmacy,
reimbursement and policy, and experience launching products. This
individual will report to the Sr. Director of V&A, is expected
to demonstrate independent strategic thinking, and is expected to
work with minimal supervision.This role will provide periodic
updates to key internal stakeholders, including BU partners, on
important payer trends and issues, and will document payer
initiatives and their outcomes.We are an innovative global

around the world.Main Responsibilities:
- Working closely with medical affairs, evidenced based medicine
(EBM/HEVA) and market research to identify and analyze trends
and/or changes which will influence market access now and in the
future.
- Developing strategies and tactics across channels and regions
to optimize broad access for Rare Disease brands.
- Developing and coordinating training efforts in support of
payer facing teams working closely with Value and Access, Account
Management, Training, and Brand team leadership
- Creating actionable analytics at the plan and geographical
level.
- Leading and developing payer value and communication platforms,
in coordination with US market access, marketing, and medical
teams.
- Creating personal and non-personal payer materials for
unbranded/branded campaigns.
- Managing Rare Expert Team to gain input and obtain advice on
materials and programs to design for payers.
- Analyzing, developing and implementing pull through
activities.
- Providing actionable direction to commercial teams on
reimbursement issues that impact both medical and pharmacy benefits
for infused/oral Specialty products.
- Working closely with Sanofi global market access teams to
identify opportunities, improve existing tactics, and meet payer
needs.
- Managing vendors/agencies as needed, including the development
of RFPs, review, selection and milestones achievement towards
contract deliverables.
- Interfacing with consumer and HCP marketing colleagues to
understand customer needs and insights, as well as payers' impact
on them.
- Developing KPIs and metrics to assess impact of key
initiatives.
- Managing market access budget aligned with key
responsibilities.About YouRequired Qualifications and Skills:
- BA, BS, Pharm D or equivalent required.
- MBA or other graduate level degree preferred
- 10+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience
- 3-5+ years of Market Access experience, such as Payer Marketing
Management, Contracting, Training
- Product launch experience in specialty/biologics is
required
- Experience in rare disease is a plus but not required
- Candidates must possess the ability to proactively analyze and
identify business problems, develop strategic solutions, implement
tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business
impact
- Individual must possess the ability to build consensus in a
matrix environment with multiple functional groups supporting the
brand team
- Strong communication skills
- Strong financial/analytical skills
