Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Human Resources Service Center (HRSC)
Benefits Manager, manages a team of Benefit Specialist and LOA
Specialist in the HRSC responsible for the customer service and
administration for payroll and benefit/leave of absence programs.
Provides leadership and ongoing support to the HRSC department
personnel who administer the company benefits program. This role
will be responsible for the success of the function, metrics,
reporting and the overall customer experience. The manager is
responsible for developing partnerships with all stakeholders and
users of the HRSC and fostering a culture that promotes teamwork
and exceptional service that is customer focused and collaborative.
This role will provide day to day leadership and will be
responsible for staffing, training, and performance management of
the team. The role is critical in empowering customers to complete
transactions on their own and optimizing processes and providing
content to limit the dependency on the HRSC.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES* Oversee the administration of
various employee benefit programs such as group insurance, life,
medical and dental, accident and disability insurance, tuition
reimbursement and flexible spending plans* Resolve first level
administrative problems with carrier representatives* Manage
administration of Leave of Absence/ADA process, ensuring compliance
with Bright Horizons policies* Provide support for ongoing plan
maintenance issues* Understand, audit and ensure benefit plan
adherence to all state, federal regulations and legislative
requirements* Oversee the calculation and administration of benefit
payments and arrears* Provide benefit trainings for HRSC employees*
Responsible for hiring, supervision, development, coaching and
counseling of department members.* Oversee all benefit and payroll
related reporting and benefits billing* Identifies and leads
efforts to improve customer service excellence and efficiency*
Manages escalations in a timely manner and acts as a liaison with
vendor, Total Rewards, and internal stakeholders.* Support Bright
Horizons internal and external audit needs (SOX, Corporate Audits,
and external audits)* Responsible for creating and updating the
self-service Tier 0 knowledge content working with the COEs*
Executive reporting and reviewing cases and trends and proactively
finding solutions to minimize the dependencies on HRSC and
