JOB DESCRIPTION Co-op Cycle: July 6th to December 18th Schedule:
Monday- Friday 8:00am to 4: 3 0pm Location: Beverly, MA (Onsite ) *

group of engineering co-ops for a 6-month assignment at our
Beverly, MA , facility. Our co- op program is designed to develop
early- career talent and build a strong pipeline of future
engineers . Students gain hands-on exposure , work on real projects

ops build technical skills , strengthen problem -solving abilities
, and gain real -world experience that enhances both their academic
learning and future career opportunities. About the Role As a
Manufacturing Engineer co -op ( Supply Chain Support ) , you’ll
investigate and resolve technical questions and issues from our
network of worldwide suppliers providing parts to enable the
production of Axcelis semiconductor manufacturing equipment . You
will gain famil iarity with many types of mechanical and electrical
components and learn to read and interpret engineering drawings.
You will interface with many internal departments such as
Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing , and Quality . This
position offers a strong learning environment for students eager to
deepen their engineering skill set while contributing to real
manufacturing solutions. What You’ll Do Support outsourcing
initiatives on machined parts, weldments, sheet metal, mechanical
assemblies , and cables/ wire harnessing. Answer vendor questions
related to specifications on assemblies and parts being outsourced.
Coordinate and support component cost reduction initiatives.
Interface and collaborate with Design Engineering to correct
drawings and/or offer ideas for Design for Manufacturability.
Generate Change Notices to correct or improve Engineering
documentation. Select replacement Components (mechanical and
electrical) due to parts obsolescence. Investigate and select
alternative parts to support critical supply chain issues. What
We’re Looking For Applicants must be candidates for a Bachelor of
Science degree in any of the following fields: Mechanical or
Electrical Engineering or similar programs. Experience with basic
engineering tools such as Solidworks /Creo and AutoCAD Familiarity
with mechanical and electrical equipment such as calipers, hand

Commute Information: To support students commuting to our facility,
Axcelis provides a $1,000 travel stipend , paid as a lump- sum in
the first paycheck . Our headquarters in Beverly, MA , is located
directly off Route 128 and just 10 minutes from the Beverly Train
Station for those using public transportation. T ransportation
between the Beverly station and the facility is available through

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this
role across U.S. locations. Our salary ranges are determined by
role and level; individual pay is determined based on multiple
factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant
education or training, work location, and internal equity. The
range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as you
develop within the role. Base pay is one part of our U.S. total
compensation package which includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team
Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for
regular employees working 20 hours a week).
