Job Description:

technologies for smarter buildings. We are looking for a dedicated
Fire Alarm Designer to join our Engineering and Architecture team.
The role involves designing state-of-the-art fire alarm systems
tailored to meet the unique needs of each building and its
occupants. This position requires a mix of technical acumen and
creativity to ensure optimal functionality and integration of these
safety systems, aligning with our mission to make buildings more
efficient, sustainable, and secure. Design fire alarm systems using
CAD software and other engineering tools. Collaborate with
engineers and architects to integrate fire alarm systems into
building designs. Conduct site visits to assess and validate
installation requirements and constraints. Prepare technical
documents and system specifications for installation teams. Ensure
all designs meet local, state, and federal safety regulations. Stay
updated with the latest standards and technologies in fire safety
and alarm systems. Participate in team meetings and provide
insights on system improvements. Proficiency in CAD software and
design tools. Strong understanding of fire alarm system components
and functions. Ability to interpret and generate complex system
diagrams. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA,
IBC). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Fire
Alarm Designer (CFAD) or equivalent. NICET Certification in Fire
Alarm Systems is highly preferred.
