Summary: Green Development, a leading renewable energy developer,
EPC and owner in the Northeast, is seeking an entrepreneurial and
motivated Senior Project Developer to support current and future
solar, wind and energy storage growth. This is an opportunity to

manage multiple projects in parallel and to prioritize competing
demands. The Senior Project Developer---s priority is to originate
and develop buildable, profitable multi-MW solar and energy
projects. His or her core responsibility will be to initiate
project site development activity, including negotiating agreements
with landowners, starting the entitlement and interconnection
processes, and otherwise moving projects through Green Developments
project development process, until construction readiness. The
Senior Project Developer will build and nurture relationships with
local stakeholders, including landowners, local government
officials, utilities, policy makers, and offtake entities. This
employee will work closely with our Company---s business
development, legal engineering, project finance and/or other staff
and other external consultants throughout the project development
process, taking the lead and/or assisting in and advisory or
collaborative role where necessary. The successful candidate must
have vision, and already possess or quickly develop fundamental
market knowledge in order to create and execute a successful
project development plan. Duties and Responsibilities Develop solar
and/or energy storage projects plans at the megawatt scale from
origination through financial close that meet or exceed annual
volume targets. General quarterbacking of all aspects of the
project development process from site origination through Notice to
Proceed. Engage with, manage and create relationships with external
consultants in the scoping, procurement, and execution of surveys,
environmental and biological studies, wetlands, delineations, and
other necessary site feasibility studies and work studies and work
products. Coordinate or directly drive project site control utility
interconnection entitlement /permitting. Create, track, and manage
full project development schedules and budgets through the entire
project development process. Prepare project financial closing,
providing necessary support for our internal construction
engineering and project finance teams through the final stages of
development. Gather market intelligence and expand relationships
with government entities and utilities to deeply understand the
development environment and to, continuously refine and adjust
strategic lead generation. Generate proposals, quotes, and formal
RFP responses. Work with legal counsel, project finance, and the
investment committee members to negotiate contract terms and close
transactions. Consult with clients, construction, and project
finance professionals in developing financial models and assist
with tax equity, financing, and regulatory related research and
negotiations. Work with Green Development engineers and project
finance personnel to identify the technical, material and financial
solutions to optimize competitive advantage and to provide
technical and financial solution to clients. Maintain regular
communication and accurate reporting with immediate supervisor(s).
Represent Green Development at local government hearings and
industry events. Requirements and Qualifications Strong knowledge
of the solar industry, or equivalent knowledge and experience in a
similar and / or adjacent project development. Successful track
record in sales, or project development environment, preferably in
large solar and / or energy storage. Understanding of key
quantitative business concepts, including financial metrics (NPV,
IRR, etc.) Bachelor---s degree in construction development,
construction science, engineering, architecture, or related from an
accredited university required. MBA or other advanced degree
preferred. 5 years of previous experience in project development or
construction management required. 2 years in energy project
management experience, including solar and or wind, energy storage,
fuel cell, or related technologies. Experience and understanding of
Distributed Generation projects required PV Installation
Professional (PVIP) Board Certification preferred. OSHA 10
required. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office;
experience with Microsoft Project and Viewpoint Spectrum software
preferred. Position will work in our Rhode Island corporate office.
